Is there a universal sata laptop adapter?
I just recently purchased a laptop and when I received it there was no cable or adapter to hook up my new hard drive. When I purchased the laptop the previous owner removed the hard drive and apparently a plastic connector piece. I am using a Compaq F572us and it uses a Sata II hard drive. Just curious if there’s anything I can do, it’s the weekend so I can’t contact HP directly. Thanks in advance.
Usually for laptops the construction is very specific to that model of that brand. You almost certainly have to contact HP directly or look for the hard drive adapter on eBay.
