What is use a good laptop / notebook for a very simple and minimal?

Do I want to start again in the letter and I feel if I a laptop / notebook, correspondence will be more convenient. I am looking for a very simple model. My questions are, what are some good models that are inexpensive and because I do not use it for anything, but the letter is with a cheap, no name brand an option? In addition, someone I know selling a Alienware laptop is fairly cheap, they are good?

I bought a Dell notebook almost three years ago. I would totally recommend them. I would suggest, always with a refurbished an extended warranty and comprehensive support. In the last three years I have contacted Dell about seven or eight times with problems (the) most of them are my fault and they are always very helpful. In fact, only a few weeks, I had my laptop about two meters above the ground and broke the CD drive. They were so helpful, and actually gave me a new CD drive.
