Samsung invests in mass storage

Samsung, a company ultimamante very active in the market of netbooks(Sony VGP-BPS8A ), but has always allocated substantial resources to develop new and particularly innovations in momorie mass. Many indeed are the hardware manufacturers who want to grab a partnership with Samsung to get its exclusive Hard Disk.

Samsung announced the upcoming release of new SSD mini -card format that will be intended for connection to the netbook(Macbook Pro battery) through a PCI -Express based on a protocol SATA II 3 Gb per second transmission. Born as the MLC NAND flash memory chips with 16 GB of memory and a production process that sheet is of 40 nm. The data transfer is communicated to 200 Mb per second when reading and 100 Mb per second being written with a very low consumption , which is defined ( the value of only 0.3 W ). The only chance that Samsung will reduce the costs of this product now ” innovative ” is not that it helps create a similar product.
