By separating the two slots full bandwidth in just two spaces, Asus leaves only the slightest room for airflow between two dual slot cards graphics when both are installed in the slots of the “right”. This reduction in air flow is significant enough to severely limit the ability to overclock the card first.
He also disagreed with the lower rear corner of front disc and placement of the audio panel header, which complicates the cable routing to the upper and middle bays of the tower case. The floppy drive can be useful only when you install Windows XP in AHCI or RAID disk mode, but the placement of the front panel audio connector affects a large number of case designs. Both problems are typical of existing products from other vendors too.
Anyone who can look beyond the peculiarities of some other features will be delighted with the P6T. A particularly notable addition is the ability to support both or LGA-1366 LGA-775 CPU coolers – a feature that opens the meeting to a large number of fans who already have superior cooling solutions and have little desire to spend large sums of money on similar hardware.
Four of the six onwards ICH10R SATA ports along with two of a supplement to the controller. This popular design allows room for expansion cards, extra-long, but it also requires extra space between the leading edge of the motherboard, and none of the drive cages nearby. The other two ICH10R ports outside the EU, avoiding any problems empowerment.
Power & reset buttons have become common on enthusiast-class motherboards in most price ranges, but the P6T is two of only a few to move these to the top of the front edge. That makes them less hard to reach three times the motherboard is installed in a case.
The JMB363 controller supports up to two Ultra ATA 133 drives, an eSATA 3.0 Gb/s port, and two internal SATA 3.0 Gb/s drives via a JMB322 port multiplier. Performance should drop dramatically during multi-device access, since the JMB363 uses only a single 2.5 Gb PCIe pathway.
