How do I create a LAN network between two computers, and then install a program through it?
I’m trying to get a laptop back up and running. The laptop went bad, and I need to reinstall some programs on there. The problem is, there’s no CD Drive. I need to know if there’s a way to install over a network. Also, if anyone knows how to recover the Admin password for the Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005 laptop, that would be nice. (As I said, it’s not my laptop originally)
if you have the laptop connected to a network you should be able to put a CD in to a shared cd drive on another computer (to share a drive right click on the drive then go in to properties and then click on the sharing tab and tick the boxes) then just go to My Network places on the laptop and the shared drive should be shown and you should be able to run the disk
